Editorial Board Award

To advance excellence in scholarly publishing and highlight significant contributions to scientific knowledge, the Editorial Board of iSET Journal proudly announces the Michal Řehoř Award, named in honour of its first laureate, Dr. Michal Řehoř, to whom the award was conferred in memoriam. This prestigious distinction will be conferred annually upon authors whose articles demonstrate the most significant advancement in scientific understanding. Citation metrics will be considered as an objective indicator of quality, excluding direct self-citations; however, the primary criterion remains the article’s substantive impact on the progress of research.

The award includes a commemorative medal and monetary prizes as follows:

  • 1st place: EUR 1,000
  • 2nd place: EUR 300
  • 3rd place: EUR 100

Eligibility and Evaluation Criteria:

  • All articles published in iSET Journal are automatically considered.
  • The ranking is based on the number of citations recorded in recognized citation databases (e.g., Scopus, Web of Science, or Google Scholar) over a 24-month period following each article’s publication. The evaluation is not limited to calendar years, so articles published late in the year are fully considered once their 24-month citation window has elapsed.
  • In the event of a tie, the Editorial Board will make the final decision based on additional indicators such as citation trends and engagement within the scholarly community.
  • Only articles that have undergone full peer review and have been published in their complete form are eligible.
  • The monetary prize will be paid to the corresponding author.
