Komorní hůrka a její přírodovědecký a kulturně historický význam

Článek je inspirován probíhajícími pracemi na zpřístupnění výzkumné štoly do Komorní hůrky z 19. století. Podává přehled o historii poznání lokality, geologických a vulkanologických výzkumech, o stáří sopky, její tektonické podmíněnosti, erupčních mechanismech, pyroklastikách a lávovém proudu.

Komorní hůrka (Kammerbühl) and its scientific, cultural and historical significance

The paper is inspired by the ongoing works aimed to the public accessing of the important historical adit to the Komorní hůrka hill. An overlook about the history, geology, volcanology, age, tectonic setting of the small pleistocene volcano in the Cheb Basin (westernmost part of the Czech Republic) is given.
